The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

The Acting President of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, has appointed Dr Seyed Khalil Motaghi as the new head of the Department of Earth Sciences. Dr Nasiri Gheydari asked the Most High God to grant Dr Motaghi success in carrying out his assigned responsibilities. In a separate letter, the acting president of the IASBS expressed gratitude to the former head of the Department of Earth Sciences, Dr Esmaeil Shabanian, for his efforts.
Dr Seyed Khalil Motaghi’s decree states:
"With reference to the resolution dated 24/09/2024 of the Department of Earth Sciences and considering your commitment, knowledge, and valuable experience, by this decree, while maintaining your educational and research responsibilities, you are appointed as the Head of the Department of Earth Sciences of the university for a period of two years, starting from 21/11/2024.
You are expected to assist the university in realising its strategic goals through precise and operational planning, aiming for a greater role in the international arena, moving towards an entrepreneurial university, and enhancing the position of ethics and social responsibility. Additionally, optimising and conserving all resources of the department, evaluating and revising courses, and promoting the growth and development of educational and research activities in the Department of Earth Sciences are emphasised. I ask the Most High God for your increasing success."
