Students benefiting from IASBS Science Ambassadors project exceed 4,000

The number of school students in underprivileged areas who have benefitted from the IASBS’s science outreach project, Science Ambassadors, has exceeded 4,000.

The project, entitled Science Ambassadors, has been implemented by the IASBS Science House since September 2022. In the Iranian year1403 (20 March 2024 - 20 March 2025) alone, 1,658 students received services under this programme, bringing the total number of beneficiaries since its inception to 4,460.

Under the Science Ambassadors project, IASBS Science House staff, comprising university students and academic members, travel to schools in underprivileged areas across Zanjan Province to introduce basic science subjects and carry out a variety of outreach activities, including exciting hands-on scientific experiments. Their aim is to foster motivation and interest among students indirectly, to pursue further education in the basic sciences.

Backed by the full and ongoing support of the IASBS management and in cooperation with Zanjan’s Department of Education, the project has reached most of the 18 administrative districts across the province. Students from over 300 villages have benefitted from this services.
