8 IASBS faculty and researchers among world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in 2024

According to the 2025 global assessment by Stanford University and Elsevier (Scopus), 8 faculty members and researchers of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) have been listed among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists. This list, based on citation data, up to the end of 2024 has been compiled across 22 main scientific fields and 174 specialised subfields. A total of 2,533 Iranian researchers have been featured in this year’s evaluation.

In the annual performance (2024) category, the following IASBS members have been recognised: Dr Hossein Molavi, Dr Amin Abdollahi, Dr Mohammad Gholinezhad, Dr Fazlollah Soleimani, Dr Radmehr Jafari, Dr Babak Karimi, Dr Babak Kaboudin, and Dr Amir Hatami. In the career-long impact category, the names of Dr Babak Karimi, Dr Babak Kaboudin, Dr Mohammad Gholinezhad, Dr Hamid Abdollahi, and Dr Fazlollah Soleimani have also appeared.

This achievement reflects the scientific dynamism and year-long efforts of the distinguished IASBS faculty and researchers. The evaluation, which is conducted globally based on authoritative indicators and rigorous methodology, carries high credibility within the academic community and attests to the university’s growing international standing.
