The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

The academic community, researchers, and those interested in interdisciplinary fields are hereby informed that the Department of Biological Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) will start admitting students to the PhD programme in biophysics from September 2026.
Biophysics, as one of the leading interdisciplinary sciences, draws on the theories and methods of physics to achieve a deeper understanding of biological systems, and establishes an effective link between physics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, materials science, and medicine. The field plays a key role in areas such as computational modelling of biological phenomena and macromolecules, metadata analysis, neuroscience, bioengineering, nanotechnology, advanced imaging, and medical research.
The biophysics programme at this university began its activities in 2009 and, over approximately 16 years, has trained 13 cohorts of graduates. A significant number of its alumni have continued their doctoral studies at reputable universities inside and outside the country, or are currently active in scientific and research fields, which is clear evidence of the academic capacity and educational quality of this group.
The establishment of the PhD programme in biophysics is regarded as a strategic step towards strengthening research infrastructures, enhancing the quality of research, expanding interdisciplinary and international scientific collaborations, and training leading researchers in this field.
