In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Honouring knowledge and paying tribute to the distinguished scholars of this land is a long‑standing tradition and a lasting virtue rooted in our historical identity. Such a ceremony goes beyond a mere gathering; it breathes the spirit of hope into society and offers models for future generations.
Among the luminous figures in Iran’s constellation of knowledge, the name of Prof Yousef Sobouti shines as one of the pioneers of contemporary scientific development in Iran. He is among those rare personalities who have embraced a faithful life in the realm of science and have devoted their blessed lifetime selflessly to the advancement of knowledge, the education of outstanding students, and the establishment of enduring scientific institutions.
His distinguished record, from studying at the most prestigious scientific centres in the world to his committed return to the homeland, stands as a sincere testament to patriotism. The eventful path of his life shows that his primary concern has not merely been the pursuit of knowledge, but also elevating beloved Iran to its rightful position on the global stage.
One of the most remarkable characteristics of this esteemed professor is his long‑term vision and spirit. He has never halted in the face of limitations, but with a broad outlook and firm determination has undertaken the difficult mission of building new scientific infrastructures. This is a precious legacy for which the generations of yesterday, today, and tomorrow will remain indebted.
I consider the holding of this commemorative ceremony and the unveiling of the valuable book Sokhan‑e Sobouti (Sobouti’s Word) an important step towards honouring virtue, knowledge, and sincere service to the homeland. I sincerely thank all organisers, scholars, and scientific and cultural institutions whose valuable efforts have made this event possible.
In conclusion, I express my appreciation for the presence of distinguished professors, thinkers, and honoured guests, particularly the respected speakers whose explanations of the scientific and ethical dimensions of the professor’s character have enriched this ceremony. I pray to Almighty God to grant this wise scholar lasting health, enduring dignity, and increasing success in serving the country’s scientific community.
