IASBS President’s message on Communication and Public Relations Day

In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

The 17th of May, the Day of Communication and Public Relations, has provided an opportunity to expound the strategic position and role of a management responsible for bridging the gap between scientific institutions and the body of society.

In today’s world and within the context of academic centres, public relations is recognised as more than just an information unit, but as the vigilant observer of the organisation and a communication bridge between elite capacities and the perspective of the society. The precise explanation of research advancements, the documented recording of events, and the regular publication of specialised newsletters are not only the source of vitality for the internal space of the organisation, but also play a key and undeniable role in external feedback and the promotion of social capital, as well as the national and international prestige of the university.

Honest narration of what occurs in the heart of the university is a powerful tool for strengthening trust and creating motivation among stakeholders, including lecturers, students, staff, researchers, and scientific activists. For this reason, the duty of public relations in the intelligent management of information flow and the protection of the dignity and name of the university is considered a grave and valuable responsibility. I congratulate colleagues on this day and appreciate the professional efforts of staff in the Public Relations Department, as well as the valuable companionship and cooperation of lecturers, researchers, and university staff in documenting honours, reflecting scientific capacities, and elevating the name of this scientific centre. It is hoped that with the continuation of this responsible view and the use of modern communication tools, we will witness the increasing brilliance of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in various fields.
