The names of 13 faculty members of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) have been recorded in the latest edition of the global database Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators, reflecting the research activity of the university’s faculty members and the standing of their scholarly work in the international citation system.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), the latest edition of the international database Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators has been published. Version 9 was released on 7 October 2026.
The database, produced with the scientific contribution of the researcher, Dr John P. A. Ioannidis, and based on data from Scopus, is considered one of the recognised sources in scientometric studies for examining and comparing researchers’ citation indicators across different scientific fields and subfields.
Analysis of the latest data from the database has shown that the names of 13 IASBS faculty members have been recorded in two assessments, Authors single-year 2025 and Authors career 2025. In the first assessment, 11 faculty members are included on the basis of their citation performance in 2025, while the second includes seven researchers on the basis of citation indicators accumulated over their entire scientific careers. Taking into account the researchers who appear in both assessments, the number of unique IASBS researchers included in the list has reached 13.
In other words, the Single-year 2025 table provides a picture of a researcher’s citation performance in a specific year, while the Career 2025 table shows their cumulative, long-term performance up to the end of 2025.
11 faculty members included in 2025 citation assessment
According to the data in the Authors single-year 2025 table, 11 IASBS faculty members have been included in the assessment of citation performance in 2025.
These researchers are:
Seven faculty members included in career-long citation assessment
The Authors career 2025 table has also recorded the names of seven IASBS researchers. These researchers are:
The database assesses researchers’ citation performance using indicators including the h-index, hm-index, and c-score.
The ninth edition of this dataset has been prepared using information extracted from Scopus. The information was extracted on 1 August 2026, and the dataset covers citation data up to the end of 2025.
The inclusion of 13 IASBS researchers in this international assessment is one reflection of the research activities of the university’s faculty members and researchers in the international scientific and citation system, and indicates the university’s continued presence in the production, publication, and citation of knowledge across various scientific fields.
The Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) congratulates the university’s researchers and faculty members on this scientific achievement, regards it as the result of their continuous scientific and research efforts, and wishes all members of the university’s scientific community continued success and distinction at national and international levels.
