IASBS Holds closing ceremony of 15th National Science and Nanotechnology Olympiad for School Students

The IASBS has held the closing ceremony of the 15th National Science and Nanotechnology Olympiad for School Students. The closing ceremony was held at Roozbeh International Conference Hall in Zanjan University of Medical Sciences on Thursday, 15 August 2024. 

In this ceremony, the IASBS President Prof Babak Karimi welcomed the participants and praised the winners of the National Science and Nanotechnology Olympiad for School Students saying that the role of such elite was very important in the future of Iran and especially in this newly emerging technology in various fields of science. He encouraged the students to enter this field and promised that the top 15 students of the Olympiad would be able to spend one to three months in the research groups of their choice at the IASBS with the coordination of the Special Headquarters for the Development of Nano and Micro Technology of the Department of Science and Technology affiliated with the President’s Office.

Then,  the Secretary of the Special Headquarters for the Development of Nano and Micro Technology Dr Ahmadvand congratulated the winners and said that the final results of this Olympiad will be announced in September at the same time as other Olympiads. 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, plaques of appreciation and commemoration were given to those involved in organising the three stages of the Olympiad and valuable gifts were granted to all the finalists of the third stage as well as the supervisors participating in this round. The Nano Olympiad medalists will continue to enjoy the support of the National Elite Foundation and the Special Headquarters for the Development of Nano and Micro Technology.
